Stefano Pilati is an Italian designer born in Milan. The fashion city oriented his career to roles within major fashion houses locally, and internationally, including Cerruti, Vogue, Armani, Prada, and Zegna. He held a position of creative director at Yves Saint Laurent for 8 years, from 2000 until 2012.

Stefano Pilati launched Random Identities in 2017 to subvert societal norms and challenges traditional sartorial conventions while questioning industry standards. Pilati's approach is deeply personal, drawing inspiration in his extensive personal archive. The brand reinterprets wardrobe essentials elevated by his expert tailoring and innovative design with pieces juxtaposing masculine and feminine details, creating sophisticated yet day-to-day ready designs.
